Hamburger Vegetable Soup
With the weather changing it’s only natural that I should I start making some quick and easy soups. Broke out my favorite pot … It’s an old pressure cooker we bought over 35 years ago that failed a long time ago but it’s such a nice heavy pot that really distributes the heat evenly. I hope to keep and use it for many years to go.
Hickory smoked Chicken Half on MAK 2 Star
Rubbed under/on the skin of a fresh Foster Farms half Chicken with Roasted Garlic EVOO and Lawry’s Perfect Blend Chicken & Poultry Rub. I found this rub at Sam’s Club a few months ago and have since searched for more every time we go Sam’s to no avail. Of the 46 reviews on Amazon, 39 gave it 5 stars and 2 gave it 4 stars. Unfortunately it’s not available on Amazon right now either. When I find it again I’m going to make sure to buy a couple to have on hand.
Pinto Beans, Corn Bread & Kielbasa Sausage

High in fiber, they help your body keep your cholesterol levels in check, which can help prevent heart disease and other chronic conditions. And since dried beans tend to be among the cheaper offerings at most grocery stores, knowing how to cook pinto beans and other varieties is a great way to get a lot of bang for your grocery dollar$$. Serve with a side of Corn Bread and Kielbasa Sausage …
Pork Sausage Stuffed Jumbo Pasta Shells
Picked up a couple of 2 lb Jimmy Dean Original Pork Sausages at Sam’s Club the other day and proceeded to cut them in half and vacuum sealed 3 lbs while keeping one aside for dinner. Visited the Jimmy Dean website and found this simple Stuffed Pasta Shell recipe. Been a while since we enjoyed some Pasta in any form so this was a welcomed change.
Hot Smoked Farmed Atlantic Salmon Filets
Here’s a Quick and Dirty hot smoked Costco farmed Atlantic Salmon recipe. Not going to discuss the Pros and Cons of fish farming but I do have confidence in the Seafood, Chicken, Pork and Beef that Costco sells. Been known to spend 8-12 hours smoking salmon in the Bradley smoker but when we want to just enjoy a salmon filet I turn to this recipe.
